“May the wine go straight to my beloved, flowing gently over lips and teeth. I belong to my beloved, and his desire is for me.” (Song of Songs 7:9b-10a)
I am being overwhelmed by the intimate power of these words.
Our relationship with Yeshua, Jesus the Christ, is not based on dogma of religion, or preconceived ideas of our life with God. It is based fully, completely, upon our intimacy with Him.
We often talk about the ‘New Wine’, as if it were a substance separate from this intimacy. It is not separate, but a vital part of our relationship with Him.
Do you want to experience the intoxicating Presence of our Lover, our King? The answer is simple, maybe more simple than we want to admit.
The Beloved in Song of Songs was consumed with her love for her Lover. There was nothing that would stop her pursuit of the experience of His love.
What are we, you and I, allowing to stop that pursuit?
